Ocean Side... a stone's throw from the surf!!  Hard to find, but worth the search if you can find one!!

These homes aren't next to the surf, they're next to the houses that are next to the surf!  One lot away from the ocean, these homes are very difficult to find.  The strip of land that is the Outer Banks is fairly narrow in most areas of the main island, and there are only a few locations that allow enough room to build more than one house between the highway and the ocean.  These homes are seriously in demand.  They rent very, very well.. they have some protection from the elements of the ocean, and you can still be in the surf in only a couple of minutes.  You'll need to expect these homes to be in the $500,000.00 to $1,500,000.00 price range.  Although there usually aren't many to choose from, if you're diligent in your search, (I can help you look for one of these!) you can be very well rewarded with a home like this!!
